ABOUT CARDBASE -------------- CardBase 1.2 is a 16-bit program which runs under MS-Windows 3.x and Windows 95. You may freely copy and distribute it, provided no charge is made for this purpose. The package consists of: The program file : cbw.exe The help file : cbw.hlp Sample database : cardbase.cbs Readme file : (this file) INSTALLATION ------------ First copy all the files in a separate subdirectory on the hard disk. For example : C:\cbw To run the program - Start Windows - Choose File/Run from the Program Manager main menu - Type the name of the executable file (cbw.exe) along with the complete pathname (that is, the drive letter and the subdirectory name) in the dialog box that appears. In the present example it would be: c:\cbw\cbw - Click the OK button. The program will now start. Alternatively - Create a new program group by selecting File/New from the Program Manager main menu and choosing "New Program group" - Highlight the empty group window and select File/New a second time - Choose "New program item" and fill in the dialog box that appears by specifying the name and path of the subdirectory containing the files - You can then start CardBase by double-clicking the icon of the stick figure struggling with the deck of oversized cards. When the main window of CardBase appears - Select 'Help' from the Main menu and read the information given in the help file. You can also - Select File/Open from the CardBase main menu - From the File-Open dialog box load the sample database file CARDBASE.CBS - Read the file to learn how to use the program - You can print the file from the main menu by selecting File/Print No modification or commercial use is permitted.
